Hi this is Neil Fotzler, we have been in the student housing business for over 50 years, right here in the same place on 2nd and Armory.  Some of the nicest people I have met are students who move in late.  They usually are slightly older and new entirely to the Champaign Urbana area.  A few years ago, during the Pandemic, we had a group of 15 students here from Nigeria,  here to get a Master Degree in Law at the University of Illinois Law school.  I was living in my office at the time and we had a few dinners right in the back where our office and outdoor tables were. I even taught a few people how to drive a car.  I think I have gone to at lease two of their weddings here in town.  That was a colorful experience.

               This year, we are late in filling up.  I am anticipating the same experience.   We have both 4 bedroom units and 2 bedroom units available and we likely will rent the bedrooms to people who don't even know each other.  It's kind of like a potluck meal.  We have people with many different life experiences that we can gain from just like the dishes in a pot luck dinner.

Another thing I like to do is give airplane rides to people who have never had a flight in a small airplane.  We just take off from our little grass strip and fly over the campus on a nice evening and it is very enjoyable.  I've had many students remember doing that years after they left.  My cell phone number is 217-840-6860.  I usually don't answer unless the caller in is my contacts but I always read my text messages or you can email me at  neil@neilfotzler.com
